  The Bully Prevention/Family Matters strand is hosted by Joanna Christopher who offers support to educators who are struggling with aggressive or disruptive behaviors among students. Intervention strategies and support tools are designed for teachers of grades K-12. Other components in this strand include Anger Management, Self Esteem, Cyber Bullying and more.   Caroline Eidson, Ph.D.
This strand demonstrates the implementation of differentiated instruction in heterogeneous classrooms. Participants will explore the use of assessments to identify student readiness levels, interests and learning profiles. The program also explains how to develop differentiated lessons and use management strategies that support differentiated instruction.
  Janet Hale is a national curriculum mapping consultant and trainer who assists rural, urban, and inner-city schools, districts, and dioceses across the United States. She often works with administrators and teachers from the moment they are considering curriculum mapping until their mapping initiative is well established. She also specializes in aiding those having trouble with implementation by diagnosing wherein the problems lie; creating an action plan; and working closely with all involved during the modification process.

This English Language Development (ELD) strand hosted by Bonnie Bishop provides educators with the tools they need to create a supportive school environment for English Language Learners. Topics include language acquisition skills, tapping prior knowledge and accessing academic language. Bonnie Bishop also includes strategies for building vocabulary and creating authentic assessment for English Learners.

Participants in this Literacy strand will develop an awareness of a variety of instructional techniques to facilitate phonic instruction, vocabulary development, comprehension and writing in K-8 classrooms.
  This instructional technology strand will explore strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum for various levels of technological proficiency. Educators in grades K-12 will be exposed to the tools of telecollaborative learning, Internet research, and educational software.

  Participants in the Writing Excellence strand will gain an understanding of the research about nonfiction writing implementation and its correlation to improved student achievement. The strand will also explore the writing process, creating scoring guides, and selecting appropriate writing prompts for classroom implementation.   Laurie Beth Jones
Earth, Wind, Fire, Water – What is the driving element that guides teachers’ personalities? What about their students? This strand delves into the research of Laurie Beth Jones as presented in her book, "The Four Elements of Success", and applies it to a teacher. Educators can learn how to understand the various personalities of their colleagues and their students and to better manage conflict and compromise in the classroom.
