Basic elements of story: characters and conflict; beginning, middle, end. using common stories to illustrate these concepts. Students will meet with Pierre and Jamyla Bennu to discuss and explore examples of story elements and storytelling tools. Students will investigate the impact that either including or omitting certain elements can have on a scene or entire storyline. By viewing both familiar and unfamiliar examples, students can better understand different literary tools as both a writer and a reader. |
